Halloween is finally here! The kids have been working really hard on their learning goals! On top of this, they’ve been having a blast learning songs for the all-school sing along tomorrow, and playing some pretty fun music games.

Pawsome Classes: Congrats this week to Mrs. Mullane’s 1st graders, Mrs. Wasserman’s 5th graders, Miss Weber’s ELS class, and Mr. Newell’s ELS class for earning pawsomes in music class this week! It was a record number of music pawsomes for one week! Way to follow the Cougar Code in class!

Happy October!

Pete the Cat is ready to trick or treat in his costume.

With the month of October we enter the holiday season. Students will be continuing to work on new music concepts while also having a bit of holiday fun singing about Halloween and the fall season!

At the end of the month on Halloween we will once again be having our all-school sing along for the student body before they head to their classroom parties. It’s going to be lots of fun! Also towards the end of the month, 3rd and 4th grade students will begin preparing for their concert on 12/2. 3rd and 4th grade families, be expecting letters home soon!

If, as we proceed through fall and winter you have any concerns with specific holidays please let me know at coonn@d62.org. I am happy to discuss the seasonal materials we use in class and to provide alternate accommodations if need be.

Happy pumpkin season!
