There is a lot of information out on the web and you’re a busy social studies or history teacher. www.besthistorysites.net is here to help. Veteran teacher Tom Daccord has put together a compendium of websites appropriate for school use that concentrate on history. He has organized them logically and includes a discussion for each site, tips on how to use them, special features, as well a star ranking. It is worth visiting for the section on maps alone! Tom as gathered all the information on The Best of History Web Sites – website – and compiled it in book form too, which is handy for lesson planning, working with other teachers, travel, et cetera.
