Keeping orchestra students up-to-date!!

Chamber Orchestra

The Chamber Orchestra is mostly made up of 6th graders who have had a year of study on their instrument and one year experience with string orchestra. Any student who has never played a string instrument before and would like to start will begin at the Chamber Orchestra level. The Chamber Orchestra meets Tuesdays and Thursdays during 9th period tutorial (2:25 PM – 3:00 PM).

Chamber Orchestra meets Tuesdays and Thursdays during 9th period tutorial. Sectionals will take place on Mondays (first violins), Wednesdays (second violins), and Fridays (viola/cello). Any beginning students in upper grades will have arrangements set between Mrs. Vaziri and their 9th period teacher so that they may attend orchestra once a week (usually Thursdays).

Lessons are on a once a week, rotational schedule. Students are pulled out for a full period and have to be signed out by their classroom teacher first. This allows the teacher to know where the student is during class time and also allows the student to be filled in on any homework or content they miss. We should have the music room back and ready to go for the beginning of next year, which is on the third floor. If this should not be ready, students will be given other instructions for lessons.
