It is also a very good idea to talk to me before purchasing any instruments or talk to Q&F about buying an instrument. Parents, my suggestion for you is to wait to buy an instrument until the student has reached a full size for violin and cello, at least 14″ for viola, and 1/2 to 3/4 for bass. Buying an instrument early can be a hassle for parents once the student outgrows it, which requires selling the instrument and buying another one.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE use caution when buying on the internet. Either discuss it with me first, or just avoid it all together. If the instrument is cheap and seems like a good deal, it is not – you get the quality for the money you spend. Cheap instruments are made of cheap materials and easily break and are very hard for me to repair.
Feel free to browse the Q&F website
